Spectrum Spelunker: Shoot Blocks to Win the Game: Also Jump and Run: Starring Hue is a puzzle platformer game originally created for the Eegra First Annual Game Makin' Shindig. It won second place and got us some dollars. We liked working on the game so much that decided to keep working on it, wowee!! So now we present to you an upgraded, more polished Spectrum Spelunker Experience™.
Alright, so, rundown. Basically, you play as a little guy named Hue who can change colors and you jump and you run and you shoot blocks and you win game. Usually.
Occasionally, you lose game...
but I will not tolerate such behavior.

CONTROLS!!?
Move Hue left and right with A and D!Jump with W! Press it again for a double jump! Jumping up into blocks above you will push them upwards. You can also wall-jump repeatedly off of blocks. Walljumping will shove a block horizontally.
Tap S on the ground to make Hue do a little hop, and again to make him quickly stomp the ground! When stomped, a block will move downward.
Double-tap S in the air to make Hue stomp and plummet downward! This can be changed to a single tap in the options menu.
Tap A or D (depending on direction) when up against a block on the ground to shove it horizontally.
Move the crosshair with the mouse!
Left Click to shoot a photon! These blow up blocks of the corresponding color!
Right Click to change Hue's color! It cycles in this order forever: Blue, red, yellow. Unless you're in Simple Mode. Then it's blue, red, blue, red, blue, red, etc.
Press Space to pause the game. A MUCH REQUESTED FEATURE.
Use all of the above abilities to ALTER THE BATTLEFIELD and push blocks around to make better combos!

HERE IS AN EXPLANATION OF WHAT SOME BLOCKS DO SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SHOOTING.
Normal Blocks: Shoot them to win game. Blocks will explode and combo other same-colored blocks adjacent to them. Try to make big combos for MAXIMUM POINTS !!
Bothersome Blocks: ANNOYING. They just get in the way. They can't be pushed, can't be combo'd, and take four shots to destroy. And they're so frowny. Cheer up, mans.I'll let you in on a secret, though: If a colored block explodes next to one of these bad boys, they too will explode. They just can't handle the pressure.
Shiny Blocks: Shoot them to REALLY win the game. If a combo is started with a Shiny Block, the point value of the whole combo will double! Not only that, but they will also destroy Bothersome Blocks as if they were part of your combo. Super handy in later stages. Remember, though, you have to start the combo with them - it's not enough to just have them in there somewhere.
Burner Block: Hot blooded rebel blocks without a cause!! All they know is destruction. They will destroy every block connected to them, regardless of color. They aren't prejudiced.
Samey Block: Inoffensive. They will cause a couple premade monochrome block patterns to spawn in the coming blockwaves, making for easy combos.
Rainbow Block: Not very photogenic. Also not an ice cube, I swear. These actually flash a bunch of different colors ingame, and, when shot, fill Hue with SUPER ULTIMATE RAINBOW POWER!!! which allows him to destroy any kind of block he wants without changing colors for a limit time. He can even destroy Bothersome Blocks in one shot! Pretty classy.I swear to god this is temporary oh geez.
